Charting China's Future

Charting China’s Future

China has become an undisputed global phenomenon, yet twenty-five years ago, its remarkable accomplishments were largely unforeseen. In an ambitious effort to predict China’s coming decades, this book explores not only the economic development that has been a key indicator of its success but the often veiled political, social, and international determinants that will be crucial. Leading scholars draw on their years of experience and on-the-ground understanding of current trends to make informed estimates of China’s path, positing that its future may well hold neither threat nor collapse. All of the contributors provide a set of scenarios and order them in terms of likelihood, including the seven factors they have identified as central to charting China’s future: the Communist Party, local electoral reforms and rule of law, the federalist possibility, social unrest, foreign policy orientations, Sino-American relations, and the Taiwan conundrum. This book is a must-read for anyone who wants to understand China as it rises in power on the world stage. Contributions by: Jean-Pierre Cabestan, Jae Ho Chung, Bruce J. Dickson, Peter Hays Gries, Tao-chiu Lam, Yawei Liu, Gilbert Rozman, and Shiping Tang

Bridal veil of white silk chiffon …. Stencil embroidery? How hard is it really?

I'm pretty patient and do not give up easily, but I do not want to ruin my wedding veil and want to spice. How difficult is it to use a stencil for embroidery? I want to use beads and mainly stick to the right place … What do you think? Any other suggestions?

Stencil is available in muslin, but probably not the route I would take. There are several options / ways to add ornaments to a bridal veil. 1. Find interesting laces, cut into patterns, add glitter, beads, cords, etc. and attach this piece to sail cloudy with tiny dots. 2. Look in the bridal department. For applications that are already with sequins and beads and set the sail. eBay is also a good source for them. 3. Transfer your stencil pattern for a piece of fine thread, to nets in an embroidery hoop and make your needlework. After finishing, trim the edges and secure. 4. Machine embroider directly on the cloth, however, the use of a stabilization layer above and below another layer embroidery area (work with the points of the hand also) 5. If you want using only beads then I recommend you glue well as jewelry Jewel it because it dries clear and flexible. Use sparingly. Place a section of fabric in a hoop placed directly on the stencil and work directly above it, add your beads / pearls, etc. Do a small section at a time and not move up This dry. If you plan to use crystals or rhinestones, I highly recommend using Swarovski others do not reflect light and photography as black dots.
